Days 1-4: Yerevan, Echmiadzin, Garni, Geghard, Khor Virap

Investigate Echmiadzin, an important place of pilgrimage for Christian Armenians; the pagan Temple of Garni, with its walls of huge basalt blocks; Geghard Monastery, carved into the side of a mountain; and Khor Virap with its fantastic views of Mt. Ararat. Drive to Tbilisi, stopping en route at UNESCO-listed Haghbat Monastery, founded in the 10th century.

Days 5-7: Tbilisi, Mtskheta, Gori, David Gareja
